Aged Care Collaborative Workshops
Aged Care Collaborative Workshops were held on the 7th of February for Coffs Harbour and the 12th of February for Grafton.
The workshops were well attended by local GPs, Aged Care Facilities, Allied Health, Specialists and Area Health Service. The evening provided an opportunity for all of these professionals to discuss residential aged care in our local area. The evening was part of the Aged Care GP Panels Initiative and was held to commence the expansion of the project with the inclusion of Allied Health onto the Panels Initiative.
Topics discussed during the workshop including Working Together, Communication, Education and Training and if I was a Resident of an Aged Care Facility. As a result of these discussion a number of opportunities for improvement were highlighted and work has commenced on addressing these areas.
