Bawrunga Aboriginal Medical Centre is an AGPAL accredited Medical Practice which is provides medical services to all members of the community. Bawrunga is a not for profit organisation and does not receive any funding from State or National Health Departments.

NEW TO THE PRACTICE:

Dr Lakshman Prasad is a doctor who endeavours to get appropriate and timely medical care for those patients who are injured in either (A) motor vehicle accidents; (B) in the line of work or (C) any other type of accident which could or should go through an insurance company.

Medical treatment can either be unavailable or delayed due to long waiting lists. Many patients are unable to outlay large sums of money upfront for their treatment. The average injured person does not know his/her rights when it comes to treatment. Insurance companies have a duty of care to injured persons to ensure they get proper treatment within a reasonable time frame. Dr Prasad is passionate about getting the proper treatment from insurance companies for his patients.
