What can the Division do for you?
The Divisions of General Practice were established to address the needs of General Practitioners.
These include assistance for GPs in the areas of professional development, locum support, access to advisory services, representation and opportunities for the pursuit of special interest programs.
The Division conducts the Workforce Support for Rural General Practitioners Program, providing financial and operational assistance to GPs working in RRAMA 4-7 Locations to undertake approved Workforce Support activities. Under the MAHS program, the Division has employed 4 Psychologists located at Grafton, Bellingen, Woolgoolga and Nambucca Subdivisions to improve patient access to mental health services through GP referral and to support Mental Health Care Plans and Case Conferences initiated by GPs.
Accordingly, the Mid North Coast Division is constantly striving to improve and expand its services and facilities for GPs.
